        Before we begin, introductions:
        Karel is Monkey's
Foreign Exchange Student from Czech Rep. This is a big responsibility
and as a monkey-uncle, Opice treats all such guests as family -- showing-off
beautiful Northern California on trips*, explaining history,
letting them pay for lunch, and accepting gasoline money.
      A helpful
word in the Czech language makes this possible: meaning
borrow, lend, loan. Do you see the potential for Monkey? He happily
invites his guests to borrow him money which he promises to lend back
later. He makes money both directions.
      Come
along as Monkey takes Karel to the Gold Country in search of wealthy companionship,
        precious memories, metal, and [adventure]
altho definitely NOT in that order.
      To see what he
and Karel saw, click the map above on the place name: Coloma, Drytown, &/or
Placerville [a.k.a. (Old) Dry Diggin's; altho everyone knew it
as Hangtown back in knottier days].
      *Monkey's
        Motto: "Big
        tips make safe trips!"
